Cross River Commissioner for Information, Dr. Rosemary Archibong has said that the implication of the developmental strides embarked upon by the Senator Ben Ayade led administration is an indication that the State is cruising its way to becoming an industrial hub.

The Commissioner said this in an interview with CrossRiverWatch, where she described the Ayade Industrial Park (AIP) in Calabar as a giant stride in the determination of the current administration to transform Cross River State into an industrial hub.

According to her, “The Ayade Industrial Park is another very giant stride in his Excellency’s determination to transform Cross River State into an industrial hub. The Ayade industrial park is a tourist project, because the technology that I see there is amazing, and it’s such a beauty to just watch the work, seeing the rice and the seedlings grow or spring up, it is phenomenal.

“The industrial estate will house at least twenty three different factories. Investors have come, noodles factory is in the making there, poultry feeds, in fact the poultry slaughter factory is going to be there, so that the chickens, by the time the chickens are brought from Obubra for instance, they are  going to be hygienically slaughtered in Calabar at the industrial park.” She maintained.

Continuing, she stated that AIP has already received investors from around the globe, and it is capable of housing twenty three different factories, adding that it can help improve the GDP of the State.

Mrs. Archibong concluded by applauding the Governor for his visionary leadership and encouraged Cross Riverians to give him a chance to take the State to the promised land.
