The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Cross River State Chapter has ended a Seven days fasting and prayer program for the Nation with the theme “The Nigeria Of Our Dream”.
The seven days program with several activities held in different member churches across the State rounded up at Great Faith Believers Assembly, Ikot Effanga Mkpa, Calabar over the weekend.
Pastor Esther Rex of Revelation Ministries, who gave the exhortation charged men, women and youths to remain steadfast and united; urging all and sundry not to be fearful but continue to be fervent in prayers.
She said, “God has not given us the spirit of fear, we are not supposed to be afraid. We need our fathers to lead us, exemplary fathers, and I thank those fathers who have been praying, let us do more.
“Involvement of women is key. Women have a place in the place of spiritual warfare not only in the physical. Let the women arise and know that God is dependent on the holy women.
“Let us call the youths back to order. Some of our youths cannot spend 3 days fasting. Let our youths arise because the glory of a young man is his strength. It is time for the youths to be spiritually minded,” Rev Esther said to the congregation.
She concluded by advising members of the Christian faith to form a prayer chain in their respective denominations, to help salvage the trending negative circumstances in the country.
According to the PFN Chairman in Cross River State, Dr. Lawrence Ekwok, the country and State is in need of God’s guidance to take us to the Nigeria of our dream.
While admonishing the crowd, Ekwok beckoned on all and sundry to “be law abiding, think and act with love for one another. Let’s not allow negative elements cloud our decisions and actions.”
