Cross River State Government To Investigate Allegations Of Extortion By Education Ministry (WATCH VIDEO)

The Cross River State Government has said that it will investigate allegation that the Ministry of Education is extorting money from Primary School pupils despite claims that Basic Education is free.

The decision to investigate the allegation against the State Ministry of Education headed by Mr. Goddy Etta.

This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dr. Rosemary Archibong while fielding questions from newsmen in her office.

According to her, “I wish I had all the details about this allegation, but I do know that education at the Primary school level is free,” she said.

She concluded by urging all parents not to pay any levy not named and contact her office if the alleged extortion persist.
