The 2018 edition of the British Council Creative Hustle will focus on how players in the creative sector can maximize the opportunities available in festivals and carnivals, a statement from the Department of Creative and Knowledge Economy of the Cross River State government says.
The statement signed by the SSA on Creative and Knowledge Economy, Mr. Emmanuel Etim said the timing of the event is apt as it will help position the players in the sector to plan ahead of the 2018 Carnival Calabar and Festivals among other events in the state.
“We are bringing to you again the Creative Hustle Calabar. This year’s edition promises to be rewarding as speakers will take time to expound on the theme; ‘Festivals and Carnivals; Harnessing Opportunities in the Creative Industry’,” the statement read.
It further read: “The theme and timing are strategic as we hope that this will help participants understand creative opportunities in Carnival Calabar and Festivals ahead of this year’s event and seize these opportunities to create value and wealth for themselves and others.”
Mr. Etim alongside Blessing Akpan and one other are expected to speak at the event slated for 11:00 AM on September 28, 2018 at the Transcorp Hotels in Calabar.
