The House of Representatives has slated the public hearing for the bill for an act to establish the federal university of technology, Ogoja for December 10, 2018.
The bill was sponsored by Rep. Jarigbe Agom (PDP, Ogoja/Yala federal constituency) who is the deputy chairman of the committee on tertiary education and services.
And, a letter sighted by CrossRiverWatch addressed to Mr. Agom invited him as the sponsor to the hearing.
The letter, signed by the chairman, committee on tertiary education and services, Rep. Aminu Suleiman (APC, Fagge Federal Constituency – Kano) said his invitation was in view of the fact that the House had deliberated on, “a bill for an Act to provide for establishment of the Federal University of Technology, Ohoja and for Related Matters (HB. 1293) and referred same to the Committee on Tertiary Education and Services for further legislative action.”
Therefore, “as the sponsor of the above Bill, it is my pleasure to please notify and invite you to the Public Hearing of the above Bill alongside other Bills,” the letter read.
The hearing which is slated for 9:00AM will hold at “Conference Room 028, Ground Floor, New Building Extension, House of Representatives, National Assembly Complex, Abuja” the letter read.
