National Sports Festival Update: Team Cross River Rise To 19th Position With 21 Medals (PICTURES)

The Cross River contingent in the ongoing National Sport Festival (NSF) Abuja have bagged 5 Gold, 11 Silver and 5 Bronze to make a total of twenty-one (21) medal placing them at 19th position in the NSF ranking.

The team members who participated in only eight sports out a total of thirty-one, have medals in the following categories;

1. Men’s Weight Lifting 135kg Snatch (Felix Ekpo) – Gold

2. Women’s Table Tennis Team (Cecilia Otu Akpan Ime, Janet Friday, Vivian Oku and Ofoneme Ebong) – Gold

3. Women’s Table Tennis Double (Cecilia Otu Akpan and Janet Friday) – Gold

4. Men’s 10, 000 meters Marathon (Ishmael Sadjo) – Gold

5. Men’s 800 meters (Amaga Suji) – Gold

6. Women Table Tennis Singles (Cecilia Otu Akpan) – Silver

7. Men’s 75kg Snatch Weight Lifting (Felix Ekpo) – Silver

8. Men’s 135kg Clean and Jerk Weight Lifting (Felix Ekpo) – Silver

9. Women’s 50 meter Freestyle Swimming (Princess Ojibi) – Silver

10. Women’s Weight Lifting 64kg Weight; Snatch (Esther Patrick) – Silver

11. Women’s Weight Lifting 64kg Weight; Clean and Jerk (Esther Patrick) – Silver

12. Women’s Weight Lifting 75kg Weight; Snatch (Esther Patrick) – Silver

13. Men’s 84kg Boxing (Obono Ubi)- Silver

14. Men’s Wrestling (John Arikpo) – Silver

15. Women’s Wrestling (Rita Driva) Silver

16. Women’s Wrestling(Mary Bassey Effiom) – Silver

17. Men’s Weight Lifting 67kg (Felix Ekpo) – Bronze
