The Special Adviser to the Cross River State Governor Prof. Ben Ayade on Entrepreneurship and Job Placement, Mr. Joseph Edet has enjoined Cross Riverians to tap into the numerous job opportunities available in order to move the State forward.
He made this known while speaking with CrossRiverWatch, where he stated that his office is committed to creating as many jobs as possible by setting job targets that can be achieved and sustained despite the economic instability.
Mr. Edet averred that the present administration has setup various programs to ensure the sustainability of youth employment in the State, positing that “Cross Riverians are ready for the new development strides injected by this administration, all they need is more information.
“They are ripe for it. The only thing we must also do from our end is to do a lot of trainings. They are actually ripe for it. It’s like getting raw materials and raw materials cannot be sold out until it is processed. So the processing is the trainings.” He maintained.
Mr. Edet revealed that his office is coming up with two major programs within the year, which he maintained would help in the sensitization and empowerment of the people of Cross River State.
He concluded by disagreeing with popular opinion that without political will entrepreneurship and business in general cannot thrive stating that what is needed most is networking before political will.
