The Acting Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, has named Obudu born cop, Anthony Ugbizi Michael, among the six new DIGs sent to the Police Service Commission yesterday, for confirmation.
Until his latest appointment, Ugbizi who hails from Bebuabung village in Obudu, Cross River state was Commissioner in charge of Delta State Police Command.
Ugbizi is an alumnus of the University of Calabar where he obtained B.sc in Political Science.
He enlisted into the Force in 1986 as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), and has previously served as ACP DOPs Delta State, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Special Investigation Unit FCIID Abuja, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Counter Terrorism and General Investigation, EFCC.
He was Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration Force Headquarters Abuja, Commissioner of Police former Special Fraud Unit, Abuja, CP Community Policing Force Headquarters Abuja, CP Special Squad Unit Abuja, CP Railway Command Lagos, CP Abia State Command and briefly as CP Ebonyi State Police Command.
Anthony Ugbizi Michael, is happily married and has children.
