By Efa Sunday

An eleven year old girl, Miss Peace Abeng residing in Ugep, Yakurr local government area has lost her left ring finger following allegations that she stole money from her aunt, Mrs. Victoria Agbor.

Peace is said to have been living with Mrs. Agbor and her husband, Mr. Egbe Edogi at Ibenda 1, Biko Biko ward of Ugep for about five years before her finger was chopped off on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

Family sources told CrossRiverWatch that Peace was handed over to the youths of the community by Mr. Edogi who whisked her to an unknown destination where the act was allegedly carried out.

However, CrossRiverWatch gathered that Mr. Edogi has continually denied the allegation.

Little Peace was however, returned to her mother and is still in Ugep. Efforts to get comments from the duo has failed so far with several calls not returned as well as text messages neither acknowledged nor replied.

The matter was reported to the Ugep area command of the Nigerian Police Force, whom CrossRiverWatch gathered, are on the trail of the suspects who are at large. The Police command in the State has been reached for comments.
