The former chief of staff to Governor Liyel Imoke and House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Alex Egbonna has been declared winner for the Abi/Yakurr federal constituency.
Egbonna polled 29,432 votes to beat his closest rival Mr. John Gaul Lebo of the People’s Democratic Party who garnered 26,971 votes.
The returning officer, Professor Chike Okpala declared Egbonna winner and disclosed that a total of 58,889 votes were cast in the keenly contested elections.
