Reports reaching the CrossRiverWatch elections situation room suggests that voting has ended in some polling units across Cross River State.
Similarly, collation has commenced in some while a few have announced results so far for the Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.
As at press time, voting had ended in Okpok Ikpa community polling unit in Odukpani local government area. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) polled 57 votes to beat the All Progressives Congress (APC) which garnered 29 votes for the State House of Assembly elections.
In the Guber, PDP polled 53 votes while the APC polled 35 votes from 94 votes casted.
Sorting and counting of ballot papers had commenced at polling unit 001 of Ward 4 in Atimbo East of Akpabuyo local government area. Also, at the polling unit in the Primary School, Esuk Ekpo street, voting had ended.
In the Guber Polls, 5 void votes were registered while ADC registered one vote. SDP polled 2 to finish third behind the APC which 37 and the PDP which polled 135 votes.
At the Polling Unit 001, PDP polled 132 votes while the APC clinched 38 votes. PPA, SDp and ADC garnered one vote each with three void votes registered.
At Polling Unit 30 of Ward 11 in Calabar South local government, the PDP won with 35 votes while the APC finished second with 15 votes and ADP coming third with one vote while 9 invalid votes were registered for the Gubernatorial elections.
For the State Assembly, PDP polled 29, APC clinched 17, ACPN and AAP both garnered one vote each while 13 invalid votes were registered.
