Following the increasing rate of communal clashes due to boundary disputes in Cross River State, Surveyor Gertrude Njar has said that only surveyors can put a stop to boundary issues by updating boundaries.

She disclosed this to CrossRiverWatch in Calabar, following the renewed communal war between neighbouring communities in Erei North in Biase LGA, Southern Cross River State.

The National Coordinator, Women in Surveying, affirmed that, “Only surveyors can put a stop to boundary issues by updating boundaries. Let’s engage surveyors to put an end to these communal clashes associated with land boundaries please.” she said.

CrossRiverWatch had reported earlier that Urugbam had attacked and burnt down 3 communities of Ipene, Ebor and Umoro. And still planning to attack Ibini in Biase Local Government.
