Governor Ben Ayade has made his first appointment. Hon. Martin Orim, has been returned as the Chief Of Staff to the governor.

This is coming against speculations that Orim was going to be replaced but sources told CrossRiverWatch that “Orim had created a very seamless synergy with the governor already and changing him now would have been counter productive.”

In his reaction, Hon. Orim expressed gratitude to the governor for the confidence bestowed in him and told Cross Riverians to expect greater speed from the governor.

In a chat with CrossRiverWatch, he said: “I wish to express my utmost gratitude to His Excellency for having continued confidence in me and offering me another chance to continue with him in his quest to industrialize our state.

“His Excellency, Senator Professor Ben Ayade, promised yesterday that he will be going round himself to inspect and make sure that all projects initiated in his first term are completed and delivered. He was not joking.

“I want to assure the people of Cross River state that they will see greater speed and action in this second phase. His Excellency is poised to speedily deliver his ongoing projects and he has made that message very clear to all and sundry, so Cross Riverians should roll up their sleeves and continue with this train, in the second phase.” He said.
