Following the recent protest against the “No Fees No Exams” policy by the students of Cross River University of Technology, on Monday 3rd June 2019, the management has suspended the examinations indefinitely.
The students had on Monday morning took out to protest against the Management’s decision which some said the policy is too prompt and no one would want to have extra year in school if denied to write first semester examinations.
With the outcome, the management came out with a circular which reads: “This is to inform all staff and students of the university that, the examination earlier scheduled for today (yesterday) Monday, 3rd June 2019 have been suspended.
“Accordingly, a new date for the suspended examinations shall be announced later.”
The protest which lasted for more than three hours, saw the protesting students flogged other students ready for exams and exam question and answer sheets seized, torn before matching to the AG VC’s office.
