The Eighteen Heads of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) in Cross River State have refused to bulge to pressure by the State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade to have access to LG allocations released to the Councils for the month of June 2019.
The meeting which held at the Presidential Lodge Calabar Tuesday, sources say the HOLGAs were pressurized to sign documents for a loan as earlier reported by CrossRiverWatch.
Our newsroom gathered that after several attempts to get the HOLGAs to go against NFIU directives, the State Chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees NULGE, Godwin Ayendi stormed the venue and urged them not to sign any document that will be contrary to NFIU directives and create disaffection and industrial disharmony between the local governments management and workers.
After addressing the HOLGAs, our source say, they all dispersed and left the meeting.
