The Cross River State House of Assembly Committee on Due Process has directed the State Ministry of Works to furnish it with all procurement documents for all projects overseen by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
The Committee, headed by Hon. Edward Ajang said the purpose is to checkmate and ensure that all procurements process for projects carried out by the Ministry is in compliance to due process and ensure that they are completed.
This request was made during an interaction with the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Achu Ihort Glory.
Other members of the Committee, Hon. Nelson Ofem (Yakurr I), Hon. Francis Bassey (Odukpani) and Hon. Godwin Akwaji (Obudu) urged Mrs. Achu to make the documents available as soon as possible.
On her part, Mrs. Achu assured the Committee of total compliance.
