A minor cabinet shuffling in Cross River State has led to Summit Hills, a real estate operated by the Government having three different managing directors (MD) in less than three months.

Mr. Joseph Edet Isoh popularly referred to as ‘La Shakara’ is now the new MD, a statement signed by Governor Ben Ayade’s lead spokesman, Christian Ita on Friday said.

According to the statement, Bobby Ekpenyong, a former commissioner and Labor Party House of Assembly candidate in the 2015 general elections for Calabar South II State constituency who took over from Mrs. Rosemary Archibong on September 2, 2019 following his appointment in August 29, 2019 is now the “Special Adviser for the Obudu Ranch Resort.“

The summit hills is an expansive real estate developed by the Senator Liyel Imoke’s administration.

It consists of the Calabar International Convention Center, golf course, specialist hospital and a golf estate which sought to bring life to the USD470 million Tinapa premier business and leisure resort.

Both facilities are connected by a 1.2 kilometer monorail network which is currently moribund due to low patronage and theft of infrastructure.

It was renamed the Senator Liyel Imoke hills by Mr. Ayade during the Cross River at 50 celebration in May 2017.
