The Chief Executive Officer of FAD Media group, Fidelis Duker; presidential candidate and preacher, Fela Durotoye as well as social media influencer, Anita Asuoha amongst other experts in different fields over the weekend charged youths to define their destinies in order to live their dreams.

The experts gave this charge at the Live Your Dreams Africa, LYDA conference with the theme, ‘Recalibration 2020’ where each speaker journeyed down memory lane in a bid to inspire attendees.

The participants were urged not to discountenance their little starts, as everyone great began with little or next to nothing.

For Fidelis Duker who is also a veteran film producer, living one’s dreams can only be possible with the desire to help someone as it is a key to get to the pinnacle.

He implored participants to dream big and never settle for less as “success is not achieved without hard work.”

Durotoye in his address explained that dreams referred to what one has in the heart, which may be delayed but can be lived. He admonished people to be careful of the dream they have, noting that helping people to grow and never envying them in their growth is a key to success.

He listed five points of living ones dreams to include, articulating your dream, affirming your dream, aligning everything about your life, being in agreement with everyone working with you and living a life of gratitudes.

Asuoha also known as ‘Real Warri Pikin’ on her part, narrated her experience which almost led her to commit suicide due to pressure and depression as a result of financial challenges.

The comedienne advised people not to rush life and asserted that finding ones purpose was key. She advised participants to take calculated risks in their endeavors.

Meanwhile, Mr. Steve Harris also known as ‘Mr Ruthless Execution’ who disclosed that he dropped out of college twice, averred that: “failure has no meaning except what you give it to.”

“If you are in school, do not be a fool; study,” Harris said, adding that the trick to discover oneself was hangout with the right crowd and people who will support your dreams. Also, he urged participants not to be afraid to serve as money isn’t everything. He stated that they could start from wherever they are to achieve their goals.
