Cross River Governor, Benedict Ayade, recently announced for the third time, a ban on the taxation of low income earners.
Below are some of the taxes, levies and fees paid by haulage and goods vehicles each day they ply the roads in the state.
i. Cross River Environment (ecological) levy – N2500
ii. Nigeria Association of Agricultural Dealers Clearance – N1000
iii. IRS Produce Inspection Fee – N2000
iv. Ministry of Youth and Sport Development Youth Development and Social Service Contribution Levy – N1000
v. IRS Daily Operation Toll – N1000
vi. National Freight Hauliers of Nigeria Levy – N1000
vii. Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service Levy – N3000
viii. CTRA Haulage Vehicles – N1000
ix. CTRA Daily Operational Levy – N1000
x. Ministry of Commerce and Industry Economic Development Levy (Northern Senatorial District) – N2000
xi. Ogoja offloading Boys Association – N1000
xii. Yala Local Government Area Sanitation Levy – N1000
xiii. IRS Entry Gate Pass Haulage – N1000
xiv. IRS Tourism Development Levy – N1000
xv. Ministry of Agriculture Milling Charges of Agricultural Produce – N1000
