LG Election: Police Restricts Movement, Calls For Calm

In view of the scheduled 2020 Local
Government election slated for tomorrow, Saturday, 30 May across the the 18 Local Government Areas of Cross River State, movement has been restricted.

The State Commissioner of Police,
CP Uche Anozia, fsi in a press release “banned the movement of persons or group of persons between the period of 0700hrs to 1800hrs on the election day,
except those on essential duties and must bear identification tag.”

Relatively, the COVID-19 Task Force has warned that “no facemask, no voting.”

The directive was signed by its Chairman, Dr. Betta Edu, who is the State Health Commissioner.
