Two new cases of the SARS – CoV-2 infection have been confirmed in Cross River state by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
This brings the total number of cases recorded in the state to 12 within a space of 10 days.
The medical authority announced 595 new cases of the Coronavirus Virus disease for Thursday bringing the tally to 34,854 cases of which 14,292 have been discharged and 769 deaths recorded.

Only Kogi state has fewer case tally (five) than Cross River. However, Cross River has more active cases than five other states.
According to the African Center for Disease Control, the continent as at press time has recorded 667,343 confirmed cases of which 346,471 have recovered and 14,399 have died.
Worldwide, data from the John Hopkins University shows that 13,953,344 people have been infected of which 592,778 have died and 8,285,183 have recovered.
