Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State will present the 2021 appropriation bill estimates today (Thursday), CrossRiverWatch findings reveal.

Sources in the House of Assembly say this is pursuant to Section 121 (1) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as altered.

They told this reporter that the Special Adviser Budget, Mr. Moses Onoh was asked to hold a budget engagement with citizens to justify the openness of the budget.

Mr. Onoh had in the online engagement said that unlike previous years where mega projects featured high, 55 percent of the budget will focus on the welfare of Cross Riverians.

The State’s laws demand that estimates be presented at the last working day of October each year.
