#Calabar: Army Beats Up Journalist Covering Pensioners Protest

Men of the Nigerian Army has just beaten up a journalist on duty in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The journalist who works with Correct FM Calabar, Victor God Pikin as fondly called was covering the protest by pensioners before the urgly incident.

When called he said, “I was on duty covering the pensioners protest when Army arrived in a truck and started collecting people’s phone and I refused giving mine.

“Immediately I identified myself, showed them my ID card that I’m a journalist on duty, before I could notice, I was beaten up until a senior of theirs came and ordered them to stop.”
