Rep Legor Idagbo To Commence Constituency Projects Tour Today

Federal lawmaker, Legor Idagbo will commence a tour of projects he facilitated in his constituency today.

The two term member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwarra federal constituency has been on the news recently over three projects implemented by the Nigerian Content Development Management Board which he facilitated, will also be holding Town Hall meetings.

He is scheduled to begin in Obudu and then proceed to have a Town Hall Meeting at 11:00AM at the Civic Center.

At Obudu, Mr. Legor will commission the ICT center constructed by the NCDMB at the Clement Ebri Technical College, Utugwang and a solar powered borehole at Nkerira, Utugwang.

The Lawmaker will then proceed to Obanliku Local Government Area where he will visit the Bendi Technical College which hosts an ICT center that has been a subject of controversy, and will also hold a Town Hall meeting by 4:00PM at the Civic Center in Sankwala.

Asides the ICT center at Bendi Technical College, the lawmaker will commission a 4-classroom block at Elenge in Becheve, a water project at Utanga and a 3-classroom project in Bassan.

On Wednesday, his itinerary will be similar in Bekwarra Local Government Area where the Town Hall meeting will hold at 11:00AM at the Local Government council.

Also, CrossRiverWatch had obtained a list of projects which sources say were facilitated by the lawmaker in Bekwarra before now, which includes a renovated solar powered borehole at Ugidi market in Abuochiche which was functional.

This Newspaper could not verify the actual location of a similar project in Ikanda, Betem ward as both public boreholes were not functional.

At Abuana, Betem Ward, the Skill Acquisition center commissioned two years ago was under lock with dozens of training equipment covered with dust.

Despite being located in Betem, the project signage read “Abuochiche ward,” and it was located nearly 5 kilometers inward from the Bekwarra section of the Ogoja – Katsina-Ala federal highway.

The access road was also in poor shape and there was no directional signage from the highway through Akpakpa community to Abuana, where the center is sited.

At Ukpah ward, most of the about two dozen solar powered street lights were still functional.

However, a skill acquisition center said to be situated at Ijibor, Ugborro ward which is where the lawmaker hails from, could not be located.
