Governor Ben Ayade has recalled his aide on aviation, Agbiji Mbeh Agbiji hours after he was sacked.
This is contained in a statement signed by his spokesman, Mr. Christian Ita and issued on Monday afternoon, hours after a different statement said he, alongside 8 other had been “relieved” of their appointments.
“Hon. Agbiji’s name was included in error amongst those relieved of their appointments in a press release issued earlier today,” the statement read.
The sack was due in part, to the fact that those affected had refused to defect from the People’s Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress alongside Mr. Ayade.
Government House sources say Mr. Agbiji reached out and explained that he had since defected.
