President Buhari Said He Doesn’t Want To End His Administration As A Failure, But – WITTY THOUGHT WITH KEN HENSHAW

WITTY THOUGHT WITH KEN HENSHAW

This is a column by Ken Henshaw, Executive Director of We The People. WITTY THOUGHT is a brisk review of situations in Nigeria with intent to revive social consciousness.

President Buhari said he doesn’t want to end his administration as a failure. But I think it is too late for this.

President Buhari has less than 2 years to leave office, how does he intend to remedy the massive destruction he has caused Nigeria on all fronts?

How does he repair the exchange rate which has risen from $1 to N260 when he took office, and is now $1 to N505?

How does he fix the fact that Nigeria is now the poverty capital of the world with at least 87million of our country people living in extreme poverty?

How does he fix the massive debt crisis he has created? In case you don’t know, out of every N1 Nigeria earns, 94 kobo is spent on debt payment. Every single Nigerian old or young, rich or poor currently owes N164,000.

How does he fix the fact that food prices have quadrupled under his watch, and more Nigerians simply can’t afford to buy food anymore?

How does he fix the rising number of deaths all over the country?

How does he fix the insecurity that has spread to all parts of the country during his watch?

How does he fix the fact that during his watch, Nigeria became the 2nd most terrorized country in the world, after Afghanistan?

In the remaining 20 months, how does he fix the fact that the kidnap of school children has escalated to a business under his watch?

How does he fix the fact that corruption has become more endemic under his watch according to Transparency International?

I Can Keep Going On And On …

President Buhari shouldn’t bother with ending his tenure a failure, that much is settled, he is a massive failure.

His concern should be on handing over the semblance of a country when his 8-year wrecking mission ends in May 2023.

Better still, if he cares about any legacy, he should simply resign.
