The Senator-elect of Cross River State Northern Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom has pledged to represent the people of the North devoid of party lines.
Jarigbe in a thank you message after the Appeal Court reaffirmed his victory by dismissing Sen. Stephen Odey’s application.
His words: “The tussle for the Senate seat has come to an end today. May God heal broken hearts and grant us the grace to reverence him more. I will represent our people, as Senator for Cross River North. I remain a Senator of PDP but for Cross River North. Human capital development and provision of infrastructure the social amenities, cannot be selective OR discriminatory.
“I was supported across party lines and I owe allegiance to the People of Cross River North, most of whom are not card carrying members of any political party.
“Finally, I encourage us to hold on to God and His promises, for those who diligently seek His face. The intoxication from the ‘Greek Gift’ referred to as, food-on-the-table, will be over, but trusting in God, with total conviction brings benefits that are enduring. Case study – me!
“Once more, many thanks to the good people of Cross River North, for the confidence reposed in me. May God guide and guard us through this assignment.”
