As part of robust plan by Cross River State Water Board Limited (CRSWBL) to increase quality water supply in the State, arrangements are on top gear to partner a South African company, Osmotech Engineering Group.
The partnership is aimed at enhancing production and delivery of more effective and efficient water to Cross Riverians.
Chairman of the company, Dr. Frank Igboamalu, speaking while on inspection of facilities in Calabar said he is pleased with the quality of structures that CRSWBL has, adding that Cross River Water Board is one of the best in Nigeria from facilities on ground while carrying out the assessments.
Dr. Frank Igboamalu further stated that his company is basically going to partner with CRSWBL to optimize the equipments to enable them operate efficiently and deliver on the State’s mandate of providing potable water for its citizens.
“We are not just going to optimize the systems but we are also going to engage the communities, train other operators on how to operate it efficiently, this will also provide more job opportunities for Cross Riverians,” he inferred.
In his remarks, the Managing Director, Cross River State Water Board Limited, Chief Victor Ekpo said that, the State Government is really pleased with the partnership with the South African based company, adding that the partnership is a clear indication that the State Water Board Limited as a corporate entity is serious for business.
Chief Ekpo further added that, the partnership will go a long way to boost the performance of the Cross River State Water Board revealing that, with the optimization and replacement of equipments, Water Board will be able to reach out to more communities in the State.
