Air Commodore Ibrahim Kefas (rtd), a former Military Administrator of Cross River State has died at the age of 73.
The Wukari in Taraba State native died in the early hours of Friday, October 1, 2021. He has since been buried according to Islamic dictates.
He served as milad of Cross River State between December 9, 1993 and September 14, 1994 succeeding the legally elected Clement Ebri whose tenure was cut short by the coup that ushered in the Sani Abacha’s military regime thereby ending the third republic.
Kefas was succeeded by Air Vice Marshal Gregory Agboneni who had previously served at Adamawa State.
He was later appointed military administrator of Delta State on September 26, 1994 until August 22, 1996.
He contested the Taraba State gubernatorial elections under the the National Democratic Party in 2007, which the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Danbaba Suntai emerged winner.
