The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Cross River State Council, has ended its 2022 State Youth Prayer Camp meeting in Calabar.
The four-day intensive teachings and prayers held at the Presbyterian church of Nigeria, Hope Waddell Training Institution, Calabar where members of the brigade were drawn from the 18 LGAs of the state.
The annual event which has existed for the past twelve years, has “in his presence” as this year’s theme.
Addressing the 758 participants at the camp, the state President and Patron of the Brigade, Elder Eta Ndoma-Egba, urged the young brigadiers to open their minds to receive what the spirit holds for them while in the camp.
He said the event over the years has witnessed tremendous testimonies, deliverance from curses, healings, salvation among others.
“I call on all participants at this year’s camp to give maximum concentration to every programme of the camp and as you do this, you will certainly receive the abundance of God’s blessings, knowing that the theme of this year’s camp is ‘In His Presence’- Gen 28:15 and I know that in the presence of God, there is fullness of joy, salvation, deliverance and testimonies will always abound.
“As we all know that our organization is built on two cardinal pillars -religion and discipline. The Prayer Camp which is one of our major spiritual programmes has helped greatly in advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ among Boys and Officers of the Boys’ Brigade. The importance and impact of the State Youth Prayer Camp cannot be overemphasized as over the years we have recorded major spiritual achievements in the lives of these young people as testimonies abound at every of our gatherings. Evil covenants broken, people are delivered from curses, financial breakthroughs, healing and salvation received,” he said.
High point of the event include; life-long skill acquisition and empowerment, special presentations, testimonies, thanksgiving, Bible study among others.
