A non-governmental organization in forefront of free legal and other aids to indigent women and children, Basic Rights Counsel Initiative (BRCI), has solicited N945,000 support from well-meaning individuals for the medical bill of a 12-year-old, Goodness Emeka Uche bathed with hot water.
Goodness is said to have been bathed a mixture of water and hot oil by her caregiver – her aunty (name yet unknown) on March 3, 2022, in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State, which resulted in second-degree burns.
In an appeal made available to the public, BRCI who for the past decade has been in the business of helping make society safer for children said the donation will take care of her medical bills.
The NGO revealed that she is receiving treatment but despite the burns, her life and dreams are being threatened.
To support good-spirited individuals are encouraged to donate through the NGO’s account, Zenith Bank – 1014112158 – Basic Rights Counsel Initiative.
