Two cars were involved in a road accident today due to careless driving at Rabana roundabout, Ndidem Usang Iso road, Calabar.

An eyewitness reported that the two cars were coming from angular directions.

The gray Toyota Camry with the plate number LAGOS JJJ470DW which was along the Ndidem Usang-Iso road smashed the rear of the green Toyota Camry LE with plate number CROSS RIVER CAL829AA approaching the roundabout from the U.J Esuene sports stadium.

According to an eyewitness, “the green Toyota had successfully passed when the driver in the gray Toyota drove and hit the green Toyota.”

“There were two occupants, a man and woman in the gray Toyota and two occupants, the driver and a little boy in the green Toyota,” she said.

The impact damaged the rear of the green Toyota which spun and faced the edge of the roundabout leaving a teenager sitting behind to break down in tears.

The front bumper of the gray Toyota split into two and was removed by the driver.

Policemen who were stationed around the roundabout for the visit of Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo intervened and following a brief discussion, both parties drove off.
