Mother Of Nigerian Law School Student Who Died Mysteriously Seek Justice

By Patrick Obia

Mrs. Joy Amadi, the mother of the Nigerian Law School student who died mysteriously, Nnenna Amadi, has demanded proper clarification and justice for her “brilliant daughter.”

Nnenna Amadi was said to have passed on in the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus due to alleged negligence from the school’s medical center.

It was gathered that the deceased had a severe asthma attack on Thursday, August 11, 2022, and was rushed to the school’s medical center.

Sources alleged the law school’s clinic has only one nurse and that instead of giving her oxygen they gave her an injection because they didn’t have oxygen. Nnenna’s roommate later rushed her to another hospital where she gave up on arrival.

Her mother, Mrs. Joy in a sobbing video called on the Nigerian Law School Lagos to explain what they have done to her daughter.

“On Wednesday 10th of this month I sent her money and on Thursday, a strange number called towards evening hours that my daughter can not talk, I said God forbid, not my daughter. That same Thursday, she attended all her lectures. She was studying in her room before whatever happened to her happened so that she couldn’t talk.

“So I pleaded with the strange person, please can you help me take her to the clinic? They took her to the clinic and the nurse on duty gave her an asthmatic injection; abandoned her and asked a so-called roommate to take her to another clinic. According to the story, my daughter died on their way to another clinic inside Uber. A nurse on duty could not carry this child with an ambulance? No oxygen to support her? No help to support her, the same so-called roommate that I don’t know what they gave to her inside the room was the person who ordered and waited for Uber to come, took her to another clinic.”

She debunked claims that Nnenna was asthmatic or had any health issues: “I want the Nigerian Law School Lagos to please explain to me why this happened to my brilliant daughter – Nnenna Amadi. She wasn’t asthmatic, there were no health issues. They need to explain to me what happened to my child. I have been crying…,” she said.
