The Senator representing the Northern Senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Jarigbe Agom has charged supporters and the people of Cross River North to elect all the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the district and State.
The lawmaker made the charge while addressing a crowd of supporters who trooped out for a march along major streets in Igoli and terminated at the Teachers Training College in Igoli, Ogoja Local Government Area on Saturday.
The lawmaker said if the mandate is given to him again he will not relent in providing dividends of democracy to his people adding that the door of his house is always open and remains accessible.
He urged the people not to surrender their votes to the All Progressives Congress and Governor Ben Ayade’s led administration whom he said: “has failed his people.”
Earlier, the State Chairman of the PDP, Barrister Venatius Ikem said the people of the Northern Senatorial District should vote again on Agom who he said has performed as expected.
“In just one year, he has done exceedingly great things that our previous senators could not do in eight or four years. The reward for good work is more work. That is why we have come here to join the non-political groups who have organized this walk in solidarity with our Senator.”
