A serving Commissioner of Women’s Affairs in Cross River State, Gertrude Njar, has been kidnapped.
Sources told CrossRiverWatch she was whisked away at Mbukpa, Calabar South Local Government Area of the State at about 9:25 am on Wednesday, 1 February 2023.
Security operatives are said to have found her shoes by the Creeks in Calabar South.
Similarly, Mr. Kenneth Abang from Boki LGA has also been kidnapped.

He was kidnapped a few days ago alongside his relative, Eunice around 4 pm along the Biase-Calabar highway while traveling to Boki LGA in preparation for his late father’s burial scheduled to be held on February 3rd and 4th in Okundi community.
