The governorship candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) in Cross River State, Patrick Solomon has congratulated the governor-elect of the State, Sen. Bassey Otu on his emergence.
In a statement jointly signed with his deputy, Mathias Amgbah, he also thanked Cross Riverian who supported their aspirations and served as a source of encouragement before, during, and after the elections.
Patrick prayed to the governor-elect to run an inclusive government and set up the right cabinet to restore the State to its lost glories.
He said though he was an opponent during the polls, he is open in any way that will lead to the overall development of the State.
The statement read in part, “I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Cross River State for their unwavering support and encouragement during my recent gubernatorial campaign.
“Though I may not have emerged victorious in the gubernatorial election, I am deeply humbled by the overwhelming support and enthusiasm shown by the younger generation of Nigerian voters who resonated with our exciting, bold, and revolutionary campaign.
“In the spirit of inclusion, I believe I can speak on behalf of the diaspora of Cross River State, and confidently say that they, too, are eager to lend their support and expertise towards restoring the prosperity and glory of the land that they shall forever call home.
“Once again, I extend my sincere congratulations to your Excellencies on an inspiring election, and I hope to work hand-in-hand with the new administration towards the advancement of Cross River State. It is my strong belief that we all share a common goal of transforming our beloved state into a prosperous and modern hub of innovation and opportunity. I am committed to contributing my expertise and experience towards this shared goal, and I trust that the new government shares this vision.”
