Former Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Donald Duke has endorsed the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Sen. Sandy Onor as the governor of the State.
In a recorded two minutes, fifty seconds broadcast video made available to the public, Duke called on Cross Riverians to come out en mass on Saturday, March 18th, and vote out the All Progressive Congress years of miseries in the State.
“This Saturday, we citizens and residents of Cross River State shall have an opportunity to redeem our State and write the wrongs of several years past. It will be a herculean task of reconstruction, repair, and restoration; to bring us back on course. It is not a task for the novice, the faint-hearted, or the untested.
“It requires one to understand the State, its challenges, and vast opportunities. Not a time for jesters or surrogates. It is not time for ‘I’ but time for ‘we’. Let no one be in doubt, this election will determine the fate of our State and many years to come. At times like this we don’t pander to sentiments except we produce the best amongst us.
“This Back-to-South slogan is simply just back to the status quo, back to the Ayades with one transitioning from Co-governor to the actual governor through his surrogate he single-handedly picked and has funded thus far.
“A vote for APC is a vote for another four to eight years of the same horror and bogus projects and another comical administration of course and a filthy environment.
“My brothers and sisters, if you have ever believed in me then I implore you to hear me now, ‘I Donald Duke, stand with, for, and by Sandy Onor’ for I know he has a requisite exposure in all levels of government and…”
