Former University of Calabar (UNICAL) Student Union Government’s (SUG) President, Afufu Anthony has laid to rest his dad and uncle.
Anthony who is also an Ex-officio member of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) lost his father – the late Mr. Anthony Afufu Okpo and his uncle – the late Afufu Paul Afufu on the same day.
Both were buried in their hometown in Ekprinyi, Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Mr. Afufu has thanked those who stood by his family during the period of grief.
In a Facebook post, Afufu said, “Nigerian Students, thanks for the solidarity visit to console me during my Dad’s burial.
“Gratitude to everyone who came yesterday as well. The APC State chairman, Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba, Princess Otanya Odey, Team Goffio, Ogar Emmanuel Oko, Patrick Ogar, Barr. Ogar Denis, Agbo Dorathy, Pst. Obi Rachael, Dane Evang. Exalted, Evang. Julius, my Dad’s friends, and others; Thank you! Indeed, it was successful and God is still God.”
