Governor Ayade Lift Embargo On Promotion For Civil Servants

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has lifted the embargo on promotions for Civil and Public servants in the State.

This was disclosed in a circular dated April 25th and signed by the Head of Service in the State, Mr. Timothy Akwaji noting that the gesture is to spur staff to enhance productivity in the State civil service.

He said the embargo on promotions in the state is from 2016 to 2023 and with immediate effect.

“His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof, Ben Ayade, has approved the lifting of the embargo on promotions for Civil and Public servants in the State.

“Consequently, the embargo on promotions in the State has been lifted from 2016 to 2023.

“This approval is with immediate effect.

“It is anticipated that this gesture will spur staff to enhance productivity in the state civil/public service.

“MDAS responsible for staff promotions are hereby enjoined to comply with the content of this circular forthwith.”
