Sen. Ben Ayade, former governor of Cross River State has handed over to Sen. Bassey Edet Otu.
The former governor during his valedictory speech before handing over power to Sen. Otu at the UJ Esuene Stadium Calabar, Ayade said he was able to survive due to divine ingenuity, knowing that the state received the least federal allocation, sometimes N800m.
He apologized for any wrongdoing while praying for his successor to succeed.
“Where I have failed, support Otu to succeed,” he said.
