The University of Calabar (UNICAL) Students Union Government (SUG) and Board Leaders of the Welfare Department of Campus Shuttle Drivers have met as a result of the current fuel price increment across the country.
The both parties deliberated for two days before coming to a consensus.
According to a press release by Edim Sabastine, Director-General of Media to the SUG President, the meeting outcome was that transportation fare should now be N70 per drop.
Other resolutions according to the release are: “Students are advised also to carry only the agreed amount before entering any shuttle bus to avoid holding their money.
“Those who couldn’t get their change from the driver should take note of the bus driver’s plate number and make the documentation to claim their change afterward not more than 48 hours from the time the transaction was completed.”
