Barely a week after a minor drowned in a drainage in Archibong Eka, and his corpse is still missing 6 days after, a dead tree fell and blocked a road in Calabar South.
Both incidents were caused by the heavy rain that had been falling in the Calabar metropolis.
The tree fell Wednesday morning at Abitu Road, beside Winners Chapel Church in Calabar South.
There was traffic gridlock due to the roadblock caused by the tree.
High vehicles could not access the road but small vehicles could squeeze and pass.
