A videographer with the Cross River State Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC) attached to the Governor’s office, Mr. Eyo-Nsa Ekpe has passed on.
He passed away on Sunday in Calabar, colleagues at Government House Calabar and relatives told CrossRiverWatch.
Mr. Ekpe, 58, is the longest serving lensman, which is the newsroom term for a cameraman in Government House Calabar having served four Governors and three Acting Governors over the course of almost 24 years.
He resumed at Government House Calabar in late 1999 as the official lensman from CRBC to report the activities of former Governor Donald Duke and remained there serving Governors Liyel Imoke, Ben Ayade and Bassey Otu.
He also covered the activities of Acting Governors such as Barr. Efiok Cobham, Rt. Hon. Frank Adah and Rt. Hon. Larry Odey.
Until his death, he was an Assistant Director at CRBC. He is survived by his wife and four children.
