Civil Servants In Cross River To Appear Before Head Of Service

As ways to avoid omission of staff names on payroll, civil and public servants together with Unified Local Government staff, State and Local Government Pensioners in Cross River State have been directed to report at the office of the head of service for audit and Bank Verification Number, (BVN) exercise.

In a public service announcement signed and made available by the Head of Service of the State, Dr. Innocent Eteng on Tuesday said the exercise is to ensure no staff’s name is omitted from payroll.

Those affected are directed to come for the exercise on February 21, 2023 (sic) by 10 am with their original credentials.

The statement reads: “Sequel to the recent staff audit /BVN verification exercise for all civil/public servants, Unified Local Government Staff, State and Local Government Pensioners in Cross River State and as part of efforts to ensure that no staff is omitted from the payroll, all the affected staff are to report at the Office of the Head of Service on Wednesday February 21, 2023, at 10 am with the originals of their credentials, BVN, and payslips for authentication and clearance, please.”
