The Cross River State Government, through the office of Head of Service, Dr. Innocent E. Etung, has announced a thorough authentication for civil/public servants in the State following a recent staff audit and Bank Verification Number (BVN) verification exercise held on February 21, 2024.
Only those with duplicated account numbers and names are required to attend the verification exercise that will be held in Northern, Central, and Southern senatorial districts on the 27th, 28th, and 29th of February, 2024, respectively by 9 am at the New Secretariat Complex, Calabar.
Affected staff are required to bring essential documents for the exercise, which include first appointment or retirement letters, confirmation letters, last letters of promotion, birth certificate or affidavit, educational qualifications, current payslips, and NIN/BVN.
However, the government emphasizes the necessity of in-person attendance with a letter of identification from the respective Head of Ministry, Department, or Agency (MDA).
The government said the authentication exercise demonstrates its commitment to eradicating discrepancies in the State’s payroll.
