UNICROSS New NUCJ Executives Inaugurated, Charged To Uphold ‘Press Creed’

The newly Inaugurated Executives of the Nigeria Union Campus Journalists (UNCJ), University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) chapter have been charged to uphold the tenet of the Union.

The executives inaugurated on Friday June 28, 2024 will pilot the affairs of the Union for the 2023/24 academic sessions.

The patron of the Union, Mr. Alobo Eba charged the new executives to remain committed to the press creed of objectivity, accuracy among others, they profess and live up to their responsibility as “Watchdog of the four campuses of UNICROSS”. 

According to UNICROSS Press, they were Inaugurated by the school’s former Student Union Government President, Engr. Iwara Omini Eno, who admonished them to be diligent, courageous, bold and discharge their duties without fear or favor as campus Journalists.

The new exco is led by Idara Obot, a 300 level student of the Department of Mass Communication.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of certificates of office to the new exco; handing over of the Union’s properties and finance from the former interim President, Mr. Marshal Samuel to the new president, and as well as the induction of new members of the Union.
