David Akate Takes Over As State Director Of Information

Mr. David Akate has assumed office as the new Cross River State Director of Information.

He assumption of office follows his redeployment from the Director of Orientation due to the retirement of the former State Director, Mrs. Anita Ekpenyong.

His new role was conveyed in redeployment letter signed by the director of Administration Mrs. Alice Asu, for the Commissioner of information, Erasmus Ekpang which states his redeployment takes effect from Monday July 1, 2024.

Akate is an astute journalist who has served the state in many capacities including  Director of Information, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Head of Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC), Ikom station and holds a Cross River State Civil Service Award of Excellence.
