Late last week Friday, a gang of suspected armed robbers stormed the hostel of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), Ogoja campus in the late hours and robbed students of their valuables.
Valuables made away with include laptops, phones, money; a student’s head was broken and another stabbed. However, nature smiled against one of the robbers who fell into a well in the hostel after the operation.
The open well in the hostel is where the undergraduates fetch bathing and washing water.
The suspect is identified as Bob Jay
CrossRiverWatch obtained a video and image of the suspect while he was alive and dead respectively.
A reliable security source told CrossRiverWatch that investigation is underway and trailing other escapees in progress.
