The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has announced the increment of school fees for new students.
The school Management disclosed this in a school fee chart for new students admitted for the 2024/2025 session.
The institution noted that the changes are part of a broader strategy to balance financial sustainability with its mission to offer quality education.
New students enrolling at the university have a revised fee structure. They are to pay eighty-three thousand, three hundred and eighty (83, 380) Naira, for indigenous students while non-indigenous students will pay the sum of ninety-eight thousand, three hundred and eighty (98,380) Naira.
This is against the old fees where indigenous students paid seventy -three thousand, three hundred and fifteen (73,315) Naira, and the non-indigenous students will pay the sum of eighty four thousand, eighty hundred and fifteen (84, 815) Naira.
However, returning students are exempted on the increments with Management saying it is to support them amid the rising cost of items and financial challenges.
By maintaining the existing fees for returning students and introducing fees structure for new entrants, the varsity said it aims to foster an inclusive and supportive academic environment for all students.
