FG Predict Flooding In Cross River, Other States

The Federal Ministry Of Environment has issued early warning to locations that may witness flood and erosion.

This was contained in a release signed by the Director/Erosion, Flood and Coastal Zone Management Department, Usman Abdullahi Bokani.

The flood prediction has it that the following locations and their environs are likely to witness heavy rainfall that may lead to flooding within the period of 16th July – 20th July, 2025.

The Federal Ministry says Calabar and Akpap in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State, might experience flood and erosion while Zamfara State has Bungudu and Gusau.

Mubi in Adamawa State, Edor, Upenekang, Oron, and Eket in Akwa Ibom State; Ngala and Maiduguri in Borno State while Bauchi State has Azare, Bauchi, Itas, Jama’are, Kafin-Madaki, Jama’a, Kari, and Misau.

Other areas includes Jos, Bukuru, and Mangu in Plateau State. For Yobe State, Jakusko, Machina, Dapchi are included while Katsina State is only Daura.

Kano State has Kunchi, Kano, Gezawa, Wudil, Bebeji, Sumaila, and Tudun Wada. Jigawa State has Miga, Gwaram, Diginsa, Ringim, and Dutse.

Relevant stakeholders are directed to take note of the prediction by the National Flood Early Warning Center, Federal Ministry of Environment Abuja.
